Tuition fee transparency in Poland, 2026
Every one of the 143 universities in this catalogue teaches at least one degree in English. On 17 September 2026 we checked whether each of them tells candidates what that degree costs before they apply. 121 universities do, though 32 of them publish the figure only inside a rector's ordinance PDF. 18 universities price their Polish-taught programmes and say nothing about the English ones. None quotes fees on request only. 3 universities publish no tuition fee at all. Every verdict below links to the page we read and, wherever the site let us capture it, to a dated screenshot and an archived copy.
The finding
Published figures run from €465 to €20,900 a year. The typical university's lowest published figure is €2,793.
A tuition fee in Poland is public information by law. Article 80 of the Law on Higher Education and Science says a university sets its fees before recruitment starts and publishes the amounts without delay on its public-information bulletin, the BIP. The rule covers fees for studies taught in a foreign language. Candidates from outside the EU also need the figure early: the Act on Foreigners makes a student visa conditional on proof of funds that cover the cost of studies, and on proof of payment where the studies are paid. Yet finding the figure is a different job at every university. The figure may sit on an admissions page, in a recruitment portal entry for a single programme, in a scanned PDF on a "BIP" public-information subdomain, or on a page that exists only in Polish. Our automated check alone reached the wrong verdict for most universities. A person then read every site, and two further reviewers tried to prove each "no fee found" verdict wrong before it was published here.
Published figures run from €465 to €20,900 a year. The typical university's lowest published figure is €2,793. The lowest figures are the cheapest single programmes at large public universities. The highest are medicine at the medical universities. A rate on this page is the lowest figure a university publishes, not the price of any particular programme, and it can change with the academic year.
21 universities give a candidate nothing to plan with. For them the only route to a price is an e-mail to the admissions office, or an application. We list them by name, with the pages we checked, so that anyone can see what was there on 17 September 2026, and so that a fee added later cannot be mistaken for one that was always public.
Verified fees, 2026/27
Universities with an explicit tuition figure on their own admissions or fee page, cheapest first.
Tuition in this catalogue is recorded per university, not per programme: each university publishes one figure (or a list) for its English-taught studies and the catalogue stores the lowest of them, which every one of its programmes then inherits. A figure shown next to a programme can therefore be another programme's rate — a medical or dental degree in particular usually costs several times more. Always confirm the current fee for your programme on the university's own page before you apply. Universities whose published wording gives no usable euro figure, or only a “free” route for a Polish-taught or state-funded programme, are shown here as “Not published” rather than as a price.
Universities that publish no fee
No explicit tuition figure was found on the pages we checked. Evidence is a screenshot of each page, taken on the date shown.
| University | City | Pages checked | Evidence |

Fees published only for Polish-taught programmes
A price list exists on the university's own site, but only for programmes taught in Polish — no figure for the English-taught route.
Fees on request
No figure is published; the university's own admissions pages say to contact them for a rate.
No universities in this dataset only offer fees on request.

How we checked
playwright chromium, depth<=2 max 10 pages followed by a manual review of every non-published verdict
Checked 2026-09-17 – 2026-09-18, across 143
universities. Evidence for every page checked lives in university-research/fee-evidence/.
We started from the catalogue's 143 universities. A crawler visited each university's admissions pages, followed links whose text mentioned fees, tuition, "czesne" or "opłaty", and read PDFs it found on the way. It then screenshotted the pages a candidate would check and recorded each page's address, capture time and file hash. That first pass was only a starting point: it called most universities wrong, because fees often live on a subdomain or in a document the crawler never reached.
A researcher then re-checked every university the crawler could not clear, using site-restricted searches, the recruitment portal, the BIP public-information pages and the rector's ordinances, with a time budget per university. Every "no fee found", "on request" and "Polish-taught only" verdict then went to two further reviewers working independently, one through search engines and one through portals and ordinances, whose sole task was to find a published fee and overturn the verdict. Figures recorded at less than high confidence were re-read by a separate reviewer. Only verdicts that survived all of this appear above.
What counts as a published fee: a concrete amount in PLN, EUR or USD for at least one English-taught programme, or a fee table for foreign candidates, on the university's own website or a document hosted there, for 2025/26 or 2026/27. What does not: the application fee, dormitory prices, diploma fees, prices only for Polish-taught programmes, figures on third-party sites, and "contact us for prices".
Every screenshot on this page is stored with its SHA-256 hash in the project's repository, and every page was submitted to the Internet Archive on the day of the check. If a university publishes a fee we did not find, send us the link . We will re-check within a week, update the university's page, and keep the original screenshot alongside the correction.
