Founded in 1702 and reconstituted in 1945, the University of Wrocław is a public research university in Wrocław, Lower Silesia, Poland, with around 20,000 students across 11 faculties. It holds Research University status — one of Poland's top ten institutions — and covers disciplines from biotechnology, physics and law to social sciences and environmental management.
