Chinese student migration to Poland is newer and reshaping a community historically built around trade. Poland is marketed in China as an affordable 'elite-Europe' alternative, but academic research (Kardaszewicz 2024) describes the lived reality as often conflicted — a gap between the imagined Europe and on-the-ground isolation, language barriers and bureaucracy.
