What it's really like
Norwegians in Poland are mostly medical students (strongly represented at the Medical University of Gdańsk) and expats in tech and the maritime sector — Gdańsk has a growing mid-sized expat community drawn partly by the coastal lifestyle. Reception is positive: Poland–Norway relations are good, and the low cost of studies (especially medicine) versus Norway is the main draw. No visa barriers and cultural proximity make integration easy.
